So-Wal 3rd June 2018, what a great meet.

Too many (literally) nice cars to comment on, but it was nice to see Slangwerks, Harris and a few others who I haven’t seen for what seems like such a long time. Hopefully this will continue over the coming months and maybe even get back into the good old convoy to a show days (which everyone knows is the best part of car culture!)

So-Wal 3rd June 2018 part 2

So-Wal 3rd June 2018 part 3

February 2004 continued (I have worked out the 10 pic limit!)  WRP hit a barrier at Cardiff West interchange over the winter. Seems to of been the catalyst for how the car ended up being re-done.

February 2004, first meet of the year and quite a good turn out. The word was spreading!

This is also where W3lsh (small bumper mk2 - TNY on plate) turned up in a VW having come along to previous meets in a random car. The car still exists but has morphed into some crazy show car last I heard.

Some more from August 2003, this blog must have a photo limit?

The red mk2 on 17′s had a 4-lamp de-badge grille (which I used to love), and came all the way from Swansea for the meet.

Looks like I finally managed to get my bumpers painted =D.

August 2003, as you can tell I was in love with this Black Corrado. Ex magazine feature and bought by the owner of the crashed Red VR6 as a replacement. Gareth eventually swapped the 16v to a G60 and added a bahn brenner supercharger (un-silenced) which sounded insane. Fag packet also shows how low it was!

The F-Plate mk2 belonged to Gareth who is CEO of Euro Performance. You can also see an early incarnation of a very special Mk3 with the plate WRP, more of that to come…

Looks like So-Wal has started meeting again but now as a German car meet (which is awesome). Here are some pics from 6th May. Was nice seeing some old faces and the motors they now have.

July 2003 meet, the white mk2 belonged to Mark. Last seen with a 16v under the hood and heading into a wall at speed somewhere in Pontypridd. Anyone got the vid?

I personally love Mk1′s with clipper bodykits, ever since seeing the peach mk1 from Awesome back in the Max Power days.

Oldest meet pics I have. Back in the day the meet was under the now defunct E1K banner. E1K was setup as an alternative to club gti which we sorta latched onto.

I remember meeting alex (Krupa) via the old performance mag vw forums and setting up a meet prior to E1K and these pics.

My car had unpainted bumpers and blue lights all around. The fronts are a shocker but I still miss and own my rear blue lights. Maybe someday I will put them back on!

I’ve been spotted (via facebook!) 1st time ever!

I’m back (sorta) decided to share some so-wal history since my life went in a different direction and I stepped away from the car scene.

The forum was taken down by the hosting company, but people dont really use those anymore do they?

So-wal Meet June 2003. The owner of this ‘scruffydubber’ built it from a 16v. I had the pleasure of having a ride near the RAF base when minidisc players were in fashion (he had one in the car!) Sadly the car was crashed but the next Corrado he had was even better……

Bristol Krispy Kreme meet. 29th May

As most of you guys remember the last bristol meet was prety damn busy even though it was raining and cold so now that the weather has broken it looks as though it will be a good time and place to have another Krispy Kreme meet =D

The usual get up, meet around back from the Krispy Kreme drive through for around 3pm and get some doughnuts and have some fun =D

If you are from South Wales and want to roll up there will be a convoy at 2pm at Cardiff Gate Services and they will be leaving at 2.15pm so dont be late as there are usually around 40 cars from there alone.

The post code for the meet is BS2 0SP

See you guys there.
